My career path includes experience in the hospitality and service industry, owning and operating my own consulting business in oil and gas for ten years, and lifelong involvement in the sport of water polo where I am a two-time Pan-Am Games medalist. I continue to volunteer my time to the sport of water polo and with the Calgary Baraccudas Swim Club and am also a volunteer parent at my son's school. My academic background includes a Geography and Economics degree from the University of Calgary, and also an Upstream Geological Petroleum Applications certificate from SAIT, and I have taken coursework as a part of the MBA program at Athabasca University. I have lived in Calgary for over 22 years as I moved to this great city in 1998. Before moving to Calgary, I was born and raised in my hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan. I know the city very well having owned and resided in homes in 3 out of 4 of the quadrants including University Heights, St. Andrews Heights, Bowness, North Glenmore, Beltline, Scenic Acres, Auburn Bay, and Seton. I am an avid inner-city hiker, biker, walker, and fisherman and also enjoy getting out of the city and into the wilderness and especially the foothills. Calgary has been a great home city to live in with all that it and the surrounding area has to offer.
