Auburn Bay Home and Housing Market
Auburn Bay has been around for 15 years now and the first Auburn Bay residents took possession of their homes in 2005. With 1000 residents by 2007, the community grew to 6000 residents by 2011. Today, there are close to 20,000 residents and the master planned community is almost complete. There remains some condo developments still to be build along with a handful of single family detached home lots to be sold.
Auburn Bay has great access points in and out of the community and proximity to Deerfoot and Stoney Trails make getting around Calgary easy. With the completion of Stoney Trail on the west side of Calgary, access to all points around Calgary will be done with ease. The airport, mountains, Banff, foothills, Edmonton, USA border, and those heading east our of town will have no problem doing so with a short few minutes to get on high speed highways that will get them to their destination.
Auburn Bay is a great community for a wide variety of socio-demographics. From upscale million dollar houses to 500 square feet 1 bedroom condos, Auburn Bay has it all. All residents have access to the lake and it's amenities. Summer, Winter, Spring, or Fall, there is always something to do at the lake. The heart of the community is the lake and it is a popular meeting spot for family and friends. Some activities include: fishing, beaching, suntanning, canoeing, kayaking, stand up paddleboard, splash park, tennis, outdoor basketball, bbq'ing, band stand, greenspace for football/frisbee, 6,000 square foot gymnasium, meeting rooms, skating, skiing, tobagganing, hockey, gas fire pit, and snowshoeing.
