Bowness

Bowness used to be it's own town before it was swallowed up and annexed by the City of Calgary in 1964. Bowness is home to one of Calgary's biggest and most famous parks, the aptly named Bowness Park. Across from Bowness Park is more parkland in Baker Park, home of picturesque views, abundant greenspace, and a disc golf course. The Bow River runs through Bowness and provides great recreational areas for picnicking, suntanning, hiking, swimming, exploring, bird watching, and fishing. Bowness has a number of schools, including a high school, located within its boundaries. Bowness' inventory of real estate provide for a wide variety, and sometimes eclectic, of options when looking for your next real estate purchase. "Downtown" Bowness has many ma and pop shops, including the famous Cadence Coffee Shop, Bow Cycle, Salt & Pepper Restaurant, The Place Restaurant, and Leopold's Tavern. Big box grocery shopping is found minutes away in Bowmont at Safeway.
