Know Your Options

Calgary has two school boards, the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) and the Calgary Catholic School District (CCSD). There are also a number of charter and private schools within Calgary. There are approximately 125,000 students who attend schools within the CBE with staff of about 14,000 in 246 schools total. At the CCSD, there are about 59,000 students throughout the 117 schools in Calgary.

In Calgary, typical configurations are as follows: Elementary School grades K-6, Junior High grades 7-9, High School grades 10-12.

Auburn Bay Schools: Auburn Bay School (K-4), Prince of Peace (K-9)

Mahogany Schools: Divine Mercy (K-6)

Cranston Schools: Sibylla Kiddle (K-4), Cranston (K-6), Our Lady of the Rosary (K-9), Christ the King (K-9), Dr. George Stanley (5-9)

Seton Schools: Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School (10-12)

Schools under construction: CBE Auburn Bay Middle School (5-9)

Schools approved but not under construction yet: CBE Auburn Bay Elementary (K-4), CBE Mahogany Elementary School (K-4)
