North Glenmore Park

North Glenmore Park straddles Glenmore Trail and encompasses the northeast portion of what appears to be Lakeview and also north of Glenmore Trail, east of Crowchild, west of the Elbow River system and parkland and south of 50th Avenue SW. The community has a pedestrian bridge over Glenmore Trail thereby linking the two pockets that make up North Glenmore Park. The total population is 2,600 people and the median household income is about $100,000. Compared to the rest of Calgary, North Glenmore Park has a disproportional number of households who are couples and without children in the home. This could be because there are more people who are between 55 and 64 in the community than that of the average in Calgary.

North Glenmore Park has great recreation and access. The Elbow River and Glenmore Reservoir are minutes away by bike or walking or running and the City of Calgary bike pathway system runs through and adjacent to the community. On the northeast corner of the community of North Glenmore Park there are are track and field facilities (Glenmore Athletic Park), a hockey rink (Stu Peppard Arena), a cycling velodrome (Glenmore Velodrome), tennis courts and tennis club (The Tennis Academy), baseball diamonds (Glenmore Athletic Park Baseball Diamond), and an indoor swimming pool (Glenmore Aquatic Centre). Access to some of Calgary's best parks, greenspace, and the natural environment can be accessed within or close to North Glenmore Park. They include Sandy Beach Park, River Park (great for walking the dog!) and North Glenmore Park. This great community has so many recreation opportunities plus a short commute to downtown, Marda Loop, or hop on Crowchild or Glenmore Trails to quickly get around the city or out to the mountains.
